Nokia 700 and Nokia 701 are the two new products launched recently in India at the price of Rs. 16600/– and Rs. 17800/– respectively. Both the phones have the unique and innovative feature of transferring the content of phone just by tapping the two phones with each other.
All About Nokia 700
Nokia 700 is one of the slimmest phone with dimensions 110mm X 50mm (L x B) and just 9.7mm (width). The phone weighs just 96gms making it highly handy and has a AMOLED 3.2″ ClearBlack touch screen with sharp and bright colors. The phone is available in four colors corel red, cool gray, purple and silver white and is coated with Gorilla glass display to avoid scrates and dust. The handset has brushed metal cover on one side and reflective glass on the other.
Nokia 700 is based on Symbian Belle operating system with 512MB RA and powers single core 1000MHz ARM 11 processor which gives the uploading and downloading speed of HSUPA Cat6 5.76 Mbps and HSDPA Cat10 14.4 Mbps respectively.
Nokia 700 features a 5 megapixel camera with LED flashlight capable of capturing clear images even at the dark. You can also zoom up to 3x to get better and clear pictures. The camera records the video at 30fps with a improved feature of Geo Tagging.
Its Li-Ion 1080 mAh powerful battery provides a talk time up to 12 hours in 2G and 5.6 hours on 3G. When fully charged the phone gives a standby time of 465 hours on 2G and 450 hours on 3G. The phone has an inbuilt memory of 2 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB using microSD, microSDHC cards.
Tap Feature: The uniqueness lies on the phone’s innovative feature of transfer of media. You can share your pictures, songs, videos and other media with its new NFC (near field communication) technology. You just need to tap with other Nokia 700 or Nokia 701 to transfer media in just seconds. You can also connect instantly to any loudspeakers or accessories supporting NFC.

The other product based on NFC technology tapping feature is Nokia 701available at a little higher price of Rs. 17800/- with some superior features.
The design of the phone is made slightly different from the Nokia 700 and has curved edges with stylish looks. Having 3.5 inches capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 640 x 360 the phone gives you the clear picture. The ClearBlack display feature produces stunning picture quality from almost any angle, even if you are outdoors.
Software of Nokia 701 is same as Nokia 700 with runs on a Symbian Belle operating system and has a 1 GHz single core processor.
But Nokia 701 has a more powerful camera of 8 megapixel with face recognition software, face tracking and full focus. A dual LED flash on the Nokia 701 handset lets you capture bright images even in poor light and its automatic red eye removal and blur reduction makes the photos further enhanced. The phone also has a front facing Secondary camera of 0.3MP.
You can record HD videos on the Nokia 701 in 720p (30 fps). A 3x digital zoom on the Nokia 701 will let you get close to subjects you wish to capture.
All other features are same like Nokia 700 and it also has NFC technology feature of transferring media.
