The Etios Liva, the first hatchback from Toyota was launched on June 2011. After being showcased at the Auto Expo 2010, company brought it on roads for India and is planning to export Liva to countries like South America, Russia and others. The Toyota Etios is a series of four-door sedan and hatchback cars produced by Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota exclusively for the Indian Automotive market since 2010 and after launching Liva, Toyota has thrown a tough competition to cars like Suzuki Swift, Suzuki Ritz, Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20, Tata Indica, Chevrolet Aveo UV-A, Honda Jazz, Fiat Grande Punto, Skoda Fabia and other cars under the hatchback segment.

Exteriors: Fitted with the smiling grille and sporty and stylish body colored front bumpers spoilers the car gives the typical unique Toyota Look. Dimensioning 3775 mm x 1695 mm x 1510 mm (L x B x H) and 173mm of ground clearance the car catches attraction with its unique designing. The muscular shoulder line on its face gives aggressive look. The company introduced the Etios Liva in seven different color variants namely Vermillion Red, Ultramarine Blue, Symphony Silver, White, Celestial Black, Serene Bluish Silver and Harmony Beige.
Lavish Interiors: Toyota Etios Liva’s interior gives a decent look in every aspect. The Dual tone color of dashboard integrated with music system and power meter at the center and has some utility boxes, 3 Spoke Steering Wheel with audio controls and sporty Leather Wrapped, sun visors and other common interiors gives it an elegant look. The five-seater hatchback has enough head and leg room for passengers but the small sized boot space as compared to other cars of this segment may dishearten you. It also has 7 Bottle Holders (One Liter), power windows, remote central locking and other features to add up the beauty.
Powerful Engine: The Toyota Etios Liva is equipped with the robust 3NR-FE, Gasoline, 4- valve Cylinder 16V, DOHC, 1200cc petrol engine. It churns out utmost power of 80bhp @5600rpm and produces a torque of 104 Nm (10.6 kg-m) @ 3100 rpm. Its 5 Speed Manual gearing system gives it a speed of up to 135kmph. The weight of the car (890kg) helps to drive easily. The company recently launched a diesel model of Etios Liva 1300cc engine to attract the other segment of car lovers.
Other features: The Company also has focused over security measures by providing features like Dual SRS Airbags (selected models), ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), keyless entry, driver seatbelt warning alert and door ajar warning.
There are five different models available in the market of Etios Liva: J (base model), G, G SP, V and VX (premium model).
