The Chocolate boy of Bollywood industry Ranbeer Kapoor is ready to throw the dice with his upcoming much awaited movie Rockstar. Ranbeer says it as the toughest project of his acting career. The film will be on the floor on 11th of November this year.
The film is directed by Imtiaz Ali, known for his unique style and unorthodox story writings is coming up after two years break from his last directed super hit movie Love Ajkal.
Starring Ranbeer Kapoor and debutant Nargis Fakhri Rockstar is co produced by Eros International Ltd. Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd with music composition by A.R.Rahman. Shammi Kapoor makes his last silver screen appearance in this film before his death.
The plot of the movie is based on the college student Janardhan Jakhar (Ranbir Kapoor) who belongs from a Jaat Family. He is an ill-mannered, unsocial, un- cooperative guy studying in a Delhi college and a struggling musician. But now he wants to change his life and become a superstar who is loved by everyone. Under the misguidance of a well wisher who tells him that he has to fall in love and then break his heart to make his music become better and deeper to gain popularity in the world Janardhan befriends Heer (Nargis Fakhri); the most beautiful, sophisticated and popular girl in his college.
The two spend an unconventional friendship and spend their days together in reckless abandonment. But then Heer leaves him and Janardhan backtracks to live his regular life. He gives up music and joins the family business.But then the twist arises and Janardhan and Heer meet again.
This time things get different. But before he knows it Janardhan gets on a tumultuous journey of self discovery, longing and restlessness only to realize that the very thing he spent his life looking for was in front of him the whole time.
The story is based on the life journey of a person and lets what Imtiaz Ali has in store now for the audiences. The songs are already on the top charts with the music of A.R. Rehman making it all time favorite. The movie will be released after Diwali on 11th November 2011.
