Motorola Fire XT 530 another Android Phone

In this era, where Android based mobile phones are in boom, Motorola introduced yet another gadget to catch the race for affordable Android devices among players like Samsung, LG,HTC and others. Motorola launched the first Gingerbread-running handset in the country – Fire XT. The phone is tagged at affordable price of Rs. 12,900/- to serve the common people.

  • 3.5″ Full Touch Screen, 320×480 screen resolution
  • 800 Mhz Processor / 512MB RAM
  • Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread)
  • 84.3 gms weight, 11.9m thickness
  • 5.0 MP Camera, 0.3 MP front camera
  • Bluetooth / Wi-Fi / 3G
  • FM Radio
  • 150MB internal storage, microSD card expansion( up to 32 GB)
  • 1540 mAh battery

Motorola Fire XT is a full touchscreen phone running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) platform, making it really fast and powerful. It packs in a 800 MHz processor with 512 MB RAM not enough with the competitive market.

The Fire XT measures 114 x 62 x 12mm and weighs 84.3 grams. While looking at the phone from the front, it boasts the sleek design and muscular body with 3.5 inch screen of 320×480 resolutions. The built of the Fire XT is a little curved and the device is pretty handy. There is a 3.5mm audio jack and power button at the top and the micro USB slot is on the left.

Camera: The phone sports a 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash and it also has front camera for video calls. The picture quality of camera is acceptable but not the best.

Fire XT also includes GPS and Navigation, Google Maps, Wi-Fi, 3.5G support, Bluetooth and access to the Android Market. There is a relatively large 1540mAh battery in Fire XT, which can provide up to 5 hours of talk time and 21 days of standby time on 3G.

The phone provides Up to 150 MB user available memory which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD (2GB card included). It also has Ambient light sensor and Proximity sensor.

Giving an opinion this is standard Android, with great social networking, web browsing and lots of apps to play around with. Looking the technical side it gives good competition to the likes of Samsung Galaxy Ace & HTC Wildfire S but still not up to the mark to win all hearts.
