Hyundai the fast emerging brand in Indian market, after the huge success of its previous i10 car, launches yet another low segment hatchback “EON” today on 13th October, 2011 for those who were preparing to buy a brand new Car this Diwali. Representing style, space, comfort, mileage and quality the Hyundai EON is truly designed to find its place among millions of hearts in India. The company tags the car at the minimal price of Rs.2.70 lacs to Rs. 3.72 lacs (Delhi ex- showroom price) giving a tough competition to its rival Maruti ALTO.
Hyundai showed a true class of style with the launch of this EON which embeds the stylish and modern exteriors and interiors. The car beats the other cars of this segment in terms of mileage by giving an average 21.1kmpl efficiency.
Engine: Hyundai EON runs on a 3 cylinder, 9 valves SOHC 800cc engine with maximum power 56/ 5.500 (ps/rpm) and maximum torque of 7.6/4.00 (kgm/rpm). It has 5 speed manual transmissions and gives a ground clearance of 170mm and has tubeless tyres.
Exteriors: The car flaunts uninterrupted flowing curves and lines with its 2 tone chrome radiator grille. The sweptback headlamps and half moon shaped tail lamps enhance the look of the car while its integrated spoiler gives it a sporty touch provides better aerodynamics during fast speeds. Hyundai launches EON in six color variants Coral White, Sleek Silver, Mushroom, Dark Gray Metallic, Pristine Blue and Maharajah Red.
Interiors: The two color toned dashboard with well appointed controls and centralized console gives a tint of high luxury class of the car. It sports a futuristic looking dynamic instrument panel and 3 spokes steering wheel and has ample space to put your necessary utilities at the dashboard and even at the side doors. The boot space is also spacious to carry your entire luggage. It has power windows with internally adjustable outside mirrors.
Safety: EON also provides you with utmost safety feature and contains driver airbag to protect major injuries in case of accidents. The car also offers keyless entry and central locking system.
The other exquisite features include gear shift indicator at the odometer which prompts you to shift to the right gear at the right speed. Its alternate management system controls the power supply to the battery depending upon the load.
There are six models of EON namely D-LITE, D-LITE (O), ERA, MAGNA, MAGNA (O) and SPORTZ. Sportz being the costliest model empowers fully fledged functionalities.
