Chevrolet Sail Sedan Launched in India

The fiercely competitive Sedan car market is getting hotter day by day. And now it’s the turn of General Motors India to further augment and strengthen its sedan line-up with the launch of Chevrolet Sail Sedan in India. The car is the latest in the sedan segment and has certain features similar to that of Chevrolet Sail U-VA which saw its launch in the month of November last year. This new sedan, Chevrolet Sail Sedan Petrol pricing starts at Rs.4.99 Lakh and goes up to 6.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

General Motors has positioned Chevrolet Sail Sedan against the likes of Maruti Suzuki DZire, Ford Classic, Toyota Etios, Tata Indigo, Mahindra Verito, and hopes to further increase its share in the competitive Sedan market with this newest compact sedan. The stylishly designed Chevrolet Sail Sedan will come in both the petrol and diesel variants.

The petrol version of Chevrolet Sail Sedan has been empowered by the advance and powerful 1.2 L SMARTECH petrol engine which is capable of generating 86 PS of power and a torque of 113Nm whereas its diesel variant comes with a 1.3L SMARTECH turbocharged diesel engine which delivers a maximum power of 78 PS and a torque of 205Nm. Diesel variant price starts from Rs 6.29 lakh and goes up to Rs 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

According to the General Motors India, the petrol variants will deliver a fuel efficiency of 18 kmpl (approx) and the diesel variants will deliver a fuel efficiency of 22 kmpl (approx). Both its petrol and diesel variants come with Variable Geometry Intake System (VGIS) to provide a smooth torque at all speeds.

The Chevrolet Sail Sedan looks simply stunning on its exteriors as well as in its interiors. The exteriors are stylish and have classy muscular design which sets Chevrolet Sail Sedan quite apart from rest of the Sedans available in the Indian market. Its interiors are luxurious, comfortable and spacious. The sedan packs in a great boot space of almost 370 litres. The car has great safety features too. It provides engine immobilizer, two safety airbags, central door locking, power windows, ABS and EBD system, as well.

Chevrolet Sail Sedan will be available in a total of eight variants and gives as much as seven color choices to choose from. Looking at its competitive pricing and superb features Chevrolet Sail Sedan will certainly prove a tough competitor for other sedans in the Indian car market.
