Bajaj Pulsar NS200 2017 Specifications and Price in India

The Bajaj Auto is a leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India.

Its bikes are hugely popular with commuters all over India.

Particularly, the Pulsar motorcycles have been met with open hearts and have become a hit with bikers not only in India but various other parts of the world.

The year 2017 has witnessed Bajaj Auto updating its entire range of Pulsar motorcycles. The update comes in the form of various design tweaks, updated engines conforming to new Bharat Stage IV emission norms as well as the automatic headlamp on (AHO) function.

The pinnacle being the re-launch of its popular naked street, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 2017.

In fact, Pulsar NS200 2017 is an updated version of the earlier Pulsar 200 NS which had a run for about three years in the market from 2012 to 2015.

Just when it was starting to become popular with bike enthusiasts, the bike got discontinued in 2015. It was mainly done to prevent product overlap due to the introduction of Pulsar RS200 and Pulsar AS200.

Nevertheless, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is all set to blaze the streets with its rock solid performance, styling and features.

Here is a post that gives you an all-round insight into this power packed performance bike – The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 2017.

The good news for all bikers is that the much awaited Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is back with a bang. The sales have already begun. The bike has been updated with a bunch of cosmetic changes and comes with several new features which make it ever more stylish and powerful. It’s ready to take on the rivals of the likes of Yamaha FZ 25 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

Bajaj has already announced that Pulsar NS200 will be replacing the AS200 which though was not much successful in the market anyway.

With Pulsar NS200, Bajaj is eyeing to tap the rapidly growing entry-level performance bike market. This bike segment has already seen over 50 percent growths in the past one year alone.

Well, Pulsar NS200 has every feature to go rocking with bikers.

Let’s have a look at them one by one.

To start with, Pulsar NS200 is a well refined, well powered, greatly stylish, performance bike that comes with a thrifty price tag. The Pulsar NS200 2017 has been priced at Rs. 96,453 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Much was speculated that the Pulsar NS200 would be equipped with fuel injection system; however, as of now, the company sticks with the existing engine. The FI unit is only available for its export model. That said, the engine has been updated to meet BS IV emission norms.

Design wise, Pulsar NS200 2017 resembles much like the 200NS that was on sale earlier. However, it gets some minor updates to look fresher and stylish than the earlier on sale 200NS bike.

Its new body graphics, slightly different seat, new alloy wheels and dual-tone paint options are some of the design features that make an instant impression on you. The bike also gets a belly-pan that augments its street fighter look.

So, with Bajaj Pulsar NS200 2017, you get many cosmetic and mechanical upgrades. The new color accents, split seats, beefy fuel tank, and 17-inch alloys are simply enough to hold your attention. The bike is available in three color variations such as Graphite Black, Mirage White & Wild Red.

Apart from meeting BS IV emission norms, the single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine remains largely unchanged. You get identical power and torque as with the earlier version at 23.5 bhp at 9500 rpm and 18.3 Nm at 8000 rpm.

Overall, the bike has an entertaining personality and a wide powerband. Together with this, you get a six-speed gearbox which is capable of giving you a maximum speed of 135 kmph.

The Pulsar NS200 has a sporty and aggressive riding position with rear-set footpegs, and knees are grabbing the sculpted tank. Suspension wise it’s quite good and complements the bike’s handling and overall ride quality.

Its export version gets a bit hi-tech with fuel injection and anti-lock brakes (ABS); however, these are sadly absent from the domestic market.

On the performance front, Pulsar NS200 comes out to be a punchy and enjoyable bike to ride. Its gear shift is crisp and precise, and the clutch is easy to use.

The bike has a low center of gravity which means that you can confidently lean around corners. The bike is well supported by MRF Zapper tires. The braking system is quite sharp with 280mm petal-type disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear.

Barring the ABS and fuel injection, the NS200 is surely one of the best equipped Pulsar. With a fresh appeal and an attractive price tag, Pulsar NS200 competes well with the entry-level performance bikes in this segment.

So, Bajaj NS200 2017 holds a lot of promise for entry-level performance bike enthusiasts.
